Environmental Exposure and Risk Assessment Laboratory

The Environmental Exposure and Risk Assessment laboratory is concerned with studies on risk from exposure to air pollutants.

We are interested in interpretation of air pollution data, looking at the causes for the spatiotemporal variation evident in the data, seeking option to allocate observed concentrations to their sources, estimating personal and population exposure to environmental pollutants (mainly airborne contaminants) in both outdoor and indoor environments, and modeling transport and fate of respirable agents.

Research Interests
  • Regional and urban air pollution
  • Dosimetry of inhalable pollutants
  • Multi-pathway exposure modeling
  • Dispersion and fate of atmospheric pollutants
  • Indoor and microenvironmental air quality
  • Environmental risk and health assessment
  • Aerosol mechanics
